Leystra Seeds began in 1979 when Al Leystra began selling Pioneer Seed in Friesland, WI. Al was already involved in raising hogs, milking cows, hauling milk, growing crops, and raising his five children, but saw a need and opportunity to service the area with an elite seed brand.

Throughout the years Leystra Seeds has continued to adapt to the changing needs of the modern farmer by adding people and services.

Today, Leystra Seeds encompasses four sellers and continues to look for new avenues to ensure the success of our farms. Services offered now include Pioneer Seeds, cover crop seeds, crop protection, nutrient management planning, and soil sampling.
